OSHA OUTREACH 10-HOUR CONSTRUCTION COURSE

OSHA recommends workplace safety training for a safe and healthful work environment, specifically for hazard avoidance on the job site. Our OSHA 10 online Construction training is 100% online and covers specific OSHA regulations and requirements as they apply to the Construction Industry.

Workers who successfully complete our OSHA-authorized course will earn their official OSHA 10 card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). Our fully narrated and interactive course is intended as an orientation to OSHA safety training standards. It covers safety and health hazards workers may face on construction work sites, placing special emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.

Who Needs OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training?

OSHA 10-Hour Construction training is designed for entry-level workers in construction, demolition, building development and other fields in the construction industry. Certain employers, unions, states and other jurisdictions require OSHA 10, but OSHA considers it a voluntary program.

Learning Outcomes: Recognize what worker rights are protected under OSHA and responsibilities an employer has under OSHA. Identify major fall hazards, common caught-in or -between hazards, common struck-by hazards, types of electrocution hazards, ways to select appropriate PPE and lifesaving equipment, major health hazards common to the construction industry. Recognize how to protect oneself from material handling hazards and hand & power tool hazards. Recognize ways to protect oneself from crane hazards. Recognize employer requirements for protecting workers from concrete & masonry hazards, including abatement methods. Identify major steel erection hazards and recognize ways to protect oneself from welding & cutting hazards. Describe types of confined space hazards and recognize ways to protect oneself from confined space hazards. Recognize employer requirements for providing a safety and health program that effectively reduces and prevents employee injury, illness, and fatality. Describe types of health and safety construction hazards and appropriate forms of mitigation.

Attendance Policy: SafeTek requires 100% attendance to satisfy course requirements. Students must arrive no later than 30 minutes after start of training to be admitted.

Course Completion: Upon successful completion of training, students will receive a 10 Hr OSHA course completion certificate. Within 90 days after training completion, students will also receive a 10 Hr Construction OSHA card from the OSHA Training Institute (OTI).
