Requirements
• An expired NYC DOB SST Worker Card that expired before May 3, 2026, or expired on or after that date and is now beyond its one-year renewal grace period.
• A copy of the expired SST Worker Card and applicable previous training certificates for eligibility review.
• Valid government-issued photo identification for enrollment and identity verification.
• A compatible device and reliable internet connection for approved online components, with a working camera and microphone where required.
• Completion of all required instructional hours, participation activities and assessments for the included courses.
• Completion of the Supported Scaffold component in the approved delivery format.
Description
The 14-Hour SST (Expired SST Cards) Package is designed for construction workers whose NYC DOB SST Worker Cards have expired and who are no longer eligible for the standard renewal process. The package provides 14 hours of construction safety training focused on fall prevention, mental health awareness and supported scaffold safety.
Students review essential construction safety practices, learn to recognize and prevent fall hazards, develop awareness of mental health concerns in the workplace and review safe practices for working on supported scaffolds.
WHO THIS PACKAGE IS FOR
This package is intended for construction workers whose SST Worker Cards expired before May 3, 2026, or whose cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, and are now beyond the one-year renewal grace period. Students should submit their expired SST card and previous training documentation so SafeTek can review their eligibility and outstanding requirements.
THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES
• 8-Hour Fall Prevention
• 2-Hour Mental Health Awareness
• 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher
Total: 14 instructional hours across 3 courses.
SST Card issuance and processing are included and subject to verification of the student's complete training record and eligibility.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• Students whose SST Worker Cards expired before May 3, 2026, qualify for this 14-hour expired-card package, subject to verification of their previous training and applicable DOB requirements.
• Students whose SST Worker Cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, have a one-year grace period to renew. Once that grace period has ended, they may qualify for this 14-hour package.
• Students who are still within the one-year renewal grace period should review the 8-Hour SST Worker Refresher option instead.
• An expired SST card is not valid for work on a construction site, including during the one-year renewal grace period.
• Students must provide their expired SST Worker Card and applicable previous training documentation before card processing.
• Completion of the package does not automatically guarantee eligibility for a new SST card. Additional documentation or training may be required after reviewing the student's records.
• All online training must be completed personally by the registered student. Account sharing or having another person complete any portion of the training is prohibited.
• Students must complete all required instructional hours, identity verification procedures, participation monitoring and course assessments.
• The Supported Scaffold component must be completed in the delivery format approved for the applicable course and credential.

UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Upon successful completion, students receive the applicable certificates for the courses included in this package. SafeTek will review each student's expired SST Worker Card, previous training records and applicable DOB requirements before processing a new SST card. Additional training or documentation may be necessary depending on the student's individual circumstances.
COURSE DELIVERY
Approved online components are completed through SafeTek's learning platform. All training must be completed personally by the registered student, including required identity verification, participation activities and assessments. The Supported Scaffold component must be delivered in the format approved for the course and credential being issued.
