The 2-Hour Tool Box Talks course is designed to train construction workers and supervisors on how to conduct effective, focused safety discussions before starting work activities. Tool box talks are short, practical safety meetings held on-site to address daily job hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and prevent accidents.
This course teaches participants how to plan and deliver structured safety briefings, identify task-specific risks, review proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and communicate clear safety expectations to crew members. Emphasis is placed on hazard awareness, teamwork, and proactive accident prevention.
The training supports Site Safety Training (SST) requirements established by the New York City Department of Buildings for construction projects in New York City.
Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to lead effective safety meetings that promote a safer and more compliant construction work environment.
