Requirements

Students must have a valid OSHA 30 Construction card issued within the last 5 years.

A government-issued photo ID is required for student verification.

Students must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a stable internet connection.

Device must include a working camera and microphone for identity verification and/or course proctoring requirements where applicable.

Students must complete all required course hours, participation activities, and assessments to receive completion certificates.

Description

The 32-Hour Supervisor SST Package is an online training program designed for individuals seeking to obtain a NYC SST Supervisor Card under Local Law 196. This package provides the additional Site Safety Training (SST) hours required beyond OSHA 30 to meet supervisor training requirements for New York City construction sites.

This package includes:

8-Hour Fall Prevention Course
Choice of:
- 2-Hour Drug & Alcohol Awareness Course
- OR
- 2-Hour Mental Health Awareness Course
1-Hour Protection from Sun Exposure Course
1-Hour First Aid & CPR Course
1-Hour Flag Person Course
1-Hour Confined Space Entry Course
8-Hour Chapter 33 Site Safety Manager Course
4-Hour Supported Scaffold User (SST Only)
2-Hour Site Safety Plan (SSP) Course
2-Hour Tool Box Talks Course
2-Hour Pre-Task Safety Meetings Course

SST Card is included upon the successful completion of this course and verification of a valid OSHA 30 Construction card in accordance with NYC DOB SST requirements.

This package is intended for foremen, supervisors, competent persons, and construction professionals who are required to obtain a NYC SST Supervisor Card for work on applicable New York City job sites.

Students will receive training on construction safety responsibilities, hazard prevention, fall protection, site safety procedures, worker communication, and supervisory safety practices in accordance with NYC DOB SST requirements.

Important Notes:

Beginning August 1, 2026, the 2-Hour Drug & Alcohol Awareness Course will no longer be available and cannot be used for SST purposes under NYC DOB requirements.
Until August 1, 2026, students may choose either the 2-Hour Drug & Alcohol Awareness Course or the 2-Hour Mental Health Awareness Course to satisfy the SST requirement.

This package does not include OSHA 30 training.

A valid OSHA 30 card is required before taking this package.

Students who successfully complete this package, together with a qualifying OSHA 30 card, may become eligible for the NYC SST Supervisor Card.

All online training must be completed by the registered student only.

Identity verification and online participation monitoring may be required during the course.
