Description

The 8-Hour SST Worker Refresher Package (Online) is designed for construction workers who need to renew their NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Site Safety Training (SST) Worker Card. The package provides eight hours of refresher training covering fall prevention, mental health and wellness, and effective communication of construction site hazards.

Students review essential safety practices, identify common jobsite hazards and strengthen their understanding of fall protection, mental health awareness and daily safety communication. The package includes SST Worker Card renewal and processing for students who successfully complete the training and satisfy all applicable DOB requirements.

WHO THIS PACKAGE IS FOR

This package is intended for construction workers who currently hold a valid NYC DOB SST Worker Card and are eligible to renew, as well as workers whose cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, and remain within the one-year renewal grace period. Workers whose cards expired before May 3, 2026, or whose one-year grace period has ended, must follow the applicable new-card training pathway rather than this refresher package.

THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES

• 4-Hour Fall Prevention

• 2-Hour Mental Health Awareness

• 2-Hour Toolbox Talks

Total: 8 instructional hours across 3 courses.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• SST WORKER CARD INCLUDED: The package includes SST Worker Card renewal and processing for eligible students who successfully complete all required training and submit the necessary documentation.

• Students with valid SST Worker Cards may complete their refresher training within the 12 months preceding their card's expiration date.

• Students whose SST Worker Cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, have one year from the expiration date to complete the required refresher training and renew their card.

• Students whose SST Worker Cards expired before May 3, 2026, are not eligible for the one-year grace period and must follow the applicable new-card training pathway.

• Students whose cards expired on or after May 3, 2026, but whose one-year grace period has ended, must also apply for a new SST card rather than renew their previous card.

• An expired SST Worker Card cannot be used on a construction site, even during the one-year renewal grace period. Students may return to sites requiring SST only after their renewed card has been issued and activated.

• Students must provide their existing or expired SST Worker Card, valid photo identification and any additional documentation required for renewal processing.

• All online training must be completed personally by the registered student. Account sharing or having another person complete any portion of the training is prohibited.

• Students must complete all instructional hours, identity verification, participation monitoring and required course assessments.

• SST Worker Card renewal is subject to verification of the student's training records, expiration date and all applicable DOB eligibility requirements.
